Some days can be quite hectic at the airport, depending on the number of departures. We are always there three hours ahead. I have seen a few occasions where it took over two hours checking in and going through security. Better to be safe than risk missing your flight.

Most transfer company will set the time after confirming your flight departure time. The 3 hours rule is standard depending on how far your resort is from the airport but 2 and a half hours may be sufficient if close enough.

if you are booking your own .. we always go more than 3 hours early. I would sooner sit in the A/C inside than stand in a line up out front. I have stood for 2 hours.

I have to agree with bomberro on this one. We leave 3-4 hours before our flight. 20 trips so far and several times we have just barely made our flight. Since they have renovated the airport there are plenty of distractions and places to eat/drink etc. Why be stressed out on the day you leave? Leaving is bad enough... LOl

We used to think 3 hours seemed early. We do private transfers and usually get them to pick us up 2 1/2 hrs before our flight. This year we checked in went through all the lines, didn't stop to look at anything at the Duty Free and yet they were already boarding our plane when we walked into the departure section. Next year we will go back to 3 hours.

Just got back and you should arrive 2 1/2 hrs before flight departs. Long lines.

This time of year through April is usually crazy, I would allow 3 hours at least. There will be a lot of standing in line.
